Emily teaches musical theatre dance, piano, Irish Harp, singing and music theory. Emily has a fun-loving approach to teaching the performing arts and her biggest teaching ambition is to inspire her students to not only love learning the arts but also to love their learning experience. She loves to engage with students of all ages from young children to adults and prides herself on her enthusiastic attitude and supportive teaching style.

Emily has a BA (Hons.) in Irish Music and Dance Studies (UL) and an AFA (1st class Hons.) in Musical Theatre Performance (American College Dublin). As a musical theatre teacher, Emily likes to teach her students to combine the most important elements of performance together (musical theatre dance with singing, acting and most importantly, character development) to create believable and enjoyable performances.

Emily has performed in many capacities including performing as a backup dancer for Planet Jedward, television appearances (Evidence of Evil - CBS Reality, Bridget and Eamonn - RTÉ, Réalta agus Gaolta - TG4 etc), film roles (Nevermore - Clap n Load Studios, Your New Name is - much warmer Productions, Virus - NoWiFi etc) and leading/supporting stage roles with Arklow Panto Creations, Festival Productions, Boardmore Playhouse, (Canada) to name a few. She is a member of the award-winning professional vocal ensemble, Classic Harmony, the current title holder of the “Sounds from the Heart” original works competition (Krakow, Poland) as well as the semi-professional choir, New Dublin Voices.

Emily (harpist/singer) has performed nationally and internationally (representing Ireland) at many receptions, concerts and other events most notably at The World Championships of the Performing Arts where she progressed to the semi-finals as a solo and the finals with her vocal ensemble. She is the current title holder of the Nancy Calthorpe Competition for voice and harp (Feis Cheoil). She has also performed and tutored with the Irish Memory Orchestra as 1st harpist and the Cross Border Orchestra. She will also be appearing on the film soundtrack for the new film Evil Dead Rise, a production recorded in RTÉ studios.
