Our Film Creations

One of the highlights of each year is the creation of our short films! To date we have written, directed, filmed and edited two screendance films; both of which were shortlisted and premiered internationally in renowned Screen Dance Festivals including Wicklow Screendance Laboratory and one short drama film. Our films 'We are the Forest' and 'Sad' were national Finalists in the Fresh Film Festival in 2024 and both were played in Limerick Omniplex Cinema with 'We are the Forest' also being televised on RTÈ2 .

We pride ourselves on creating our films from scratch with the writing/concepts being developed by our teachers and students, filming and editing being executed by our film teachers and students and our casts comprising entirely of our own Spotlight dancers, singers and actors. We are thrilled to have released our most recent dance film 'Sound of Silence' back in March and preparations are now in place for our 2025 film creations!
